The NBA weekend will have the top three Western Conference teams with favorable matchups. Every team in the league played on Friday night, which means they will have very few rest for the weekend.

The NBA betting lines set the San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers as favorites. All of them are, along with the Cleveland Cavaliers, are the best four teams in the NBA.

Take a good look at these games and follow the money with the favorites.

San Antonio Spurs at Washington Wizards

The San Antonio Spurs are one of the two unbeaten teams on the road in the NBA this season. They have the best record in the league with a 9-0 mark way from home. Going into Washington as favorites is not a surprise at all. The pay per head sites will be ready for a Spurs win; it’s just about finding out for how much.

San Antonio scores 103.6 points per game; it’s the 17th best mark in the NBA. However, the money doesn’t come in the offensive line. The Spurs allow just 98.3 points per game, which is sixth-best.

The Spurs have a 7-7-1 against the spread record, which is good but not great. Yet, when they play on the road, they become a solid NBA bet with a 5-2-1 ATS record.

Washington shouldn’t be a great opponent for the Spurs. The Washington Wizards are well below .500 and haven’t found a way to get in any rhythm this season. They score 102.8 points per game, 20th in the NBA. But they also allow 105.6 points per game, also 20th in the league. Their differential is -2.77 which is bad on any given night. But when you are about to face San Antonio with a +5.33 differential, it’s even worse.

Playing at home, the Wizards are 3-5 against the spread, according to the NBA betting trends. But also they are 1-4 ATS in their last five games as an underdog, and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.

San Antonio has won eight of the past 10 meetings against Washington. The Spurs have covered the spread seven of the last ten meetings.  Take San Antonio to win outright by at least six points.

Minnesota Timberwolves at Golden State Warriors

One team and one team only have won at the ORACLE Arena this season. The team was the San Antonio Spurs, and it happened on the opening night.

Since then, five teams have tried to win in there, and five teams have failed.

The Golden State Warriors have the most explosive offense in the NBA. It’s not news, but they do. They average 119.2 points per game and 31.9 assists per game; both numbers are the best in the league.

The pay per head bookies usually inflates their NBA spread number to get action on both sides. But most of the time, the NBA betting public directly follows the best team on the court.

Golden State is 7-7-1 ATS this season and 3-3 ATS playing at home. Overall they have a point differential of +12.47. They allow just 106.73 points per game. Considering their pace is practically unmatched in the NBA, it’s a solid average on the defensive side.

Minnesota, on the other hand, it’s a team in progress. Their young core is trying to establish themselves in this league. They score 103.5 points per game and allow 104.0. The Wolves haven’t found a way to fix their transitional defense. It will be hard for them to get it fix against the Warriors. In fact, it’s going to get ugly at the ORACLE Arena.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games playing on one-day rest.

The last time these two teams met Minnesota shocked Golden State with a 124-177 result.  Golden State will be ready for payback. 

The Warriors are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games playing on one-day rest, 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight up win and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games as a favorite.

Take the home team to get some revenge. Take the Warriors to win by ten.

Los Angeles Clippers at Indiana Pacers

Quietly, the Los Angeles Clippers have the best record in the NBA. The online bookie software has adjusted to their success but the pph sportsbooks were not expecting this form the Clippers have shown.

The Clippers are the other unbeaten team on the road entering this weekend. They will go on a road trip in the East that involves facing the Detroit Pistons on Friday night and the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. The following games will be at the Brooklyn Nets and the Cleveland Cavaliers before heading back to the West Coast.

Los Angeles averages 110.9 points per game; only the Golden State Warriors have a better number. They allow 97.1 points per game, which is fourth-best in the NBA. Their point +13.76 point differential is the best in the league and matches what the Warriors did last season in their unreal run to the NBA finals.

The Clippers also have been money on the road. Los Angeles is 5-2 against the spread away from home this season. The per head sportsbooks will make LA the favorites almost on every arena this season. You can only scratch games against the Cavaliers, Warriors, and Spurs.

Indiana has been up and down in 2016, like most of the Easter Conference teams. The Indiana Pacers average 103.3 points per game, but they allow 107.8. Indiana is not the kind of team you want to place action bets on a consistent basis.

At home, they are 4-6 against the spread this season.

Keep in mind the Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a home underdog, 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games overall, 1-5 ATS in their last six games as an underdog and 3-7 ATS in their last ten games following an ATS loss.
